I Know Detroit's Black Pride is coming up and I was wondering does Spice have an area or booth. This will be my second time every attending a pride and I don't quite know what to expect. If anyone have any information, please share with me.
Thank you, Tee

I am a first timer at BGP! I am very excited. My daughter went to her first pride in Ferndale less than two weeks ago and I look forward to taking her to Black Gay Pride.

Tee, my job had me tied up for the actual pride day but the night before I went to just keep my friend company and ended up helping her and the others set up for the pride. That was so cool! I have never been to Pride before and I hope I am free to go to Detroit's. It felt good setting up tents, bleachers and the gates... I felt so good that night after it was said and done. So even though I was not there...I was there, you know.

That's cool. Just being in that kinda surroundings must have felt good. I went to my first pride last yr in Chicago and it was great. It wasn't black pride but pride for all GLBT. It took me a while before I felt comfortable holding my girls hand. I had never been exposed to the life like that. I soon realized that it was ok.
I am going to be attending Detroit's black pride and I hope you can make it also.

Yogini, I'm excited as well. I'm looking forward to black pride and I hope to see you & your daughter there as well. I hope her first pride experience was a good one.
